Five views sit behind one tab bar. Convert moves between HEX, RGB and HSL; CMYK handles print-style separations; Palette builds complementary, analogous and triadic harmonies from one base; Shades expands a single hue into a light-to-dark ramp; and Random rolls fresh 24-bit codes. Coral #ff5733 becomes rgb(255,87,51) and hsl(11,100%,60%), then feeds palette and shade rows without retyping.
The studio uses the standard naive formula: K equals 1 minus the largest RGB channel, and C, M and Y derive proportionally with channels normalized to zero through one. Crimson #e11d48 therefore reads C0 M87 Y68 K12. That is ideal for drafts and teaching, but final press work still needs ICC profiles and a physical proof, because coated and uncoated stock absorb ink differently.
Type a brand color such as #2563eb in the Palette view to see complementary, analogous and triadic rows, about twenty swatches computed locally. Switch to the Shades view to stretch the same green or blue across five to ten steps toward black and white for hover, border and pastel states. Click any swatch to copy its HEX straight into CSS, Tailwind or Figma.
Yes. Each random color masks window.crypto to 24 bits, so all 16,777,216 codes from #000000 to #FFFFFF share equal odds with no modulo bias. Generation happens entirely in your tab, so nothing is uploaded and nothing is stored. Roll up to 50 swatches at a time, then click any square to copy the code for a quick mood board.
Every view exposes copy buttons and one-click swatches. Copy compact #ff5733 for stylesheets, rgb(255,87,51) for canvas gradients or hsl(11,100%,60%) when you want to nudge lightness, and cmyk strings for InDesign and Illustrator frames. Shorthand such as #f53 expands automatically, and no swatch ever leaves the device.
Displays emit additive light with a wider gamut, while inks subtract light on paper, so vivid emerald #22c55e or coral #ff5733 dull noticeably once converted. Review the CMYK swatch beside the screen preview, expect roughly 20 percent saturation loss on uncoated sheets, and request proofs before large runs rather than trusting the monitor alone.
Five views centralize everyday color work in one offline page. Convert translates HEX, RGB and HSL with a live picker, CMYK reports print-style separations, Palette derives complementary, analogous and triadic harmonies, Shades stretches one hue into a ramp, and Random rolls unbiased codes. Coral #ff5733 becomes rgb(255,87,51) and hsl(11,100%,60%); a brand blue #2563eb yields complementary #ea580c; six shades and six tints of green #22c55e give thirteen swatches; and a fresh roll might surface #6366f1. Reference table: HEX #ff5733 equals stylesheet tokens, RGB 255,87,51 equals canvas pixels, HSL 11,100%,60% equals lightness tweaks, and CMYK C0 M70 Y85 K0 equals print drafts.
Conversion is exact arithmetic between representations, harmony rotates hue around the wheel, and shades blend toward black and white. Rotating #2563eb by 180 degrees gives orange #ea580c, adding thirty degrees gives analogous sky #38bdf8, and spacing three hues evenly gives a triadic gold #eab308. Shade steps lerp channels toward black for depth and white for pastels, so six and six steps produce thirteen swatches from deep #15803d to pale #dcfce7. Limitation: single-hue ramps keep cohesion but omit multi-hue options, and palette rows suggest directions rather than final systems, so curation and contrast checks remain your job.
Start with #ff5733: Convert shows rgb(255,87,51) and hsl(11,100%,60%), CMYK softens it to C0 M70 Y85 K0, and Palette pairs it with a complementary teal for buttons. Then ramp a green #22c55e into deep #15803d and pale #dcfce7 for states. Edge case: a zero or malformed hex flags an error instead of rendering, and vivid greens shift dullest in CMYK because subtractive inks cannot reach luminous additive primaries.
